Happy November!
As the holiday season begins, I am thankful for two special things–our children and pie. How do these two tie together? Let’s find out.
It is a joy to be a part of the Children and Youth Ministry Team (CYMT). We teach the children and learn from them too. We provide snacks and materials for the Sunday School children. We keep in touch with our middle school, high school, and college age youth by sending notes, cards, and gift cards. The children and youth all receive birthday cards from CYMT. We give gifts to graduating high school seniors. Backpack tags are provided for all the students. For special services such as Christmas, CYMT fills bags with fun materials to occupy the young children. We also have our annual Easter egg hunt. Now for the pie part. CYMT is having a Pie Sale on November 19th during coffee hour after church. On November 5th and 12th there will be sign up sheets for those of you who would like to volunteer to bake a pie or two. Then on November 19th we will sell the delicious homemade pies for $15 each. Remember Thanksgiving will be only four days after our pie sale! Thank you in advance for baking and buying “St. Andrew’s Pies,” and for supporting our ministry to the children and youth of our church family.
With thanks,
Caroline Willsie
