Dear St. Andrew's Community and Friends:
This Sunday we have a guest preacher: Rev. Peter Buehler. Peter recently retired from serving as head of staff at First Presbyterian in town. He and his wife Kati have been worshipping with us often since last fall. Peter's focus is on the importance of prayer at all times, but especially in a time like the present.
LInda Sizer is our reader. Chris and Erin will lead us in the music. I'll assist in the service. Disciple Dog and I will discuss the importance of prayer and he will discover an unexpected friend.
The final hymn, "When We Face An Unknown Future," came to us via Tom Weisenberger. It uses a familiar tune, and Carolyn Winfrey Gillette has created new lyrics to reflect our experience in the pandemic. Let us know what you think.
Friday was the last day for "Feeding Our Neighbors" -- Dana reports 186 cars came through the line and 403 families served. What an amazing project this has been! This coming week the church parking lot will be resurfaced, so anyone coming to the church will need to park on Arroyo or Auhay. The session is meeting this coming Tuesday, and will be reviewing an updated policy on the requirements for having any activities on the church property during the pandemic, including a return to worship.
May we all seek God's guidance and wisdom as we face the current challenges for our country and the world.
