Dear St. Andrew's Community:
Here is our "worship service" for this Sunday, April 19. The sermon is "Spiritiual Lessons From a Disaster," in which I share some thoughts from my experience as Director of La Casa de Maria following the 2018 debris flow. I use this as a basis for reflecting on what we are learning as we face the Corona Virus pandemic. The ideas are, I think, very appropriate for Earth Day, which will be observed this coming Wednesday.
I invite you to share with me lessons you've learned from going through challenges like this one -- email me at firstname.lastname@example.org .
(Note: I recorded this video in my backyard. We have a wonderful family living next door with three girls under 7. You may hear them playing in the background; if so, I hope their sounds of delight will add to your viewing experience.)
Disciple Dog is on Easter break this week. Instead, I'm sharing a story about Norbert visiting Mrs. Sophia to discover what she learned as she lived through challenging times.
Once again, I'm grateful we have Chris and Erin to lead us in our music.
The link to the worship video is just below.
Finally, at the end of this email is an invitation and link for another Zoom Coffee Hour this Sunday. I hope to see you there. Watch for a separate email from Tom Weisenburger inviting you to participate in the Adult Ed gathering following Sunday's video Coffee Hour.
Blessings on all of you we we live through this together.
